Real food is packed with essential nutrients to give your body exactly what it needs to function how it should. Nutrition, like any science, is not perfect; there is plenty about the content of real food and how it reacts with our bodies that we just don't completely understand. Even still, the things we do understand are incredible. The complex, delicate arrangement of chemicals within our bodies are best fueled by the complex, delicate arrangement of chemicals within food.
Check out our nutrition calculator to see how items like apples, spinach, and avocados are contributing to your health.

Did you know your body is composed of 65% water?
If more than half of your body is made of water, then it seems obvious to state that the innumerable functions of your body would be impaired when there is not enough.
Dehydration can manifest itself as lethargy, dizziness, vomiting and diarrhea (possibly with blood), rapid heartbeat, and preterm labor in pregnant women. Your body is begging to you fill it with fluid to restore its self-healing functions.
Don't let dehydration get to that point! Make sure you are drinking enough water daily; and more if it is hot or you are exercising. Use our calculator to ensure you're getting the amount you need.
"If you can't pronounce it, don't eat it."
- Michael Pollan

Eat good food.
It's as simple as that.
General rules we like to follow are:
1. Consume food that is as close to its original form as possible. (Raw)
2. Consume a variety; be sure to hit all colors.
3. Seasonal, local food is preferred; grow a garden.
To supplement, The Works supports local farmers who are growing food that is experiencing the same climate you are; thereby giving your body the specific tools it needs to be healthy in the specific area you live.
